Christie Taylor

Owner / Trainer / Nutrition and Health Coach

Christie Taylor is the co-owner of TruFIT20 and runs the family business with her mother Jan Eckert they co-founded in 2006. “I truly love what I do and the impact we have on people’s lives through their strength, health, and vitality! I enjoy all of my clients each and every day, its such a great atmosphere we have in our facility.”

She has an incredible passion for the nutrition aspect of health and wellness as well and thrives on working specifically with weight loss and disease clients, because she too can empathize in how hard it can be for some, and has gained experience through her own testimonial of weight loss and changing body composition.

Jan Eckert

Jan Eckert

Owner / Trainer

Jan started TruFIT Health with her daughter Christie in 2007 after having personally experiencing the benefits of the slow method high intensity training (SuperSlow) during her rehab after breaking her back in 4 different places in a horseback riding accident. Having tried many methods of rehabilitation it was obvious to her that only after starting SuperSlow did she see rapid and long term improvements.

Soon after her recover she was determined to share her discovery with others. She became a Certified SuperSlow trainer in 2007 and continues to work today as a trainer, her niche being those with injuries and seniors spanning all the way to 89 years of age.

Meet our wonderful team of trainers that are dedicated to your health! We would love to work with you to achieve your fitness goals!

Connor Malloy

Connor Malloy

Trainer

Connor began training as a client over a year ago and has been accredited as the ‘perfect form’ student for a long time. So when I asked the team who they thought of our clients would be a good fit for a trainer (I do that on purpose), Conner was the obvious pick, (maybe because of the mid-western likeness amongst the group) but non-the-less, even with his current full time schedule he jumped at the opportunity and we are excited to have him.

Conner started his health and wellness journey trying a bunch of different workout videos and free weight exercises. After growing frustrated with the amount of time these workouts took away from him, he had set out in search of a more efficient workout. Through a stroke of good fortune, he met me (HA) and asked about this High Intensity Slow Motion workout. At the end of our conversation, Connor had described the workout as, "seeming too good to be true." " I was shocked that in just a couple workouts, I had begun feeling and seeing better results while having more time to pursue other interests."

Through the certification process and his personal experience, Connor has become very passionate about this High Intensity workout. "I’ve come to appreciate ALL the benefits that this workout provides. For me, it has always been about getting into the best shape possible and improving energy. But when you see improvement from someone that had thought improvement was impossible due to a past injury or chronic pain, it convinces you that this is a workout for everyone."

The youngest of 7 siblings, Connor was born and raised just outside of Chicago, Illinois. He attended the University of Iowa, where he graduated with a BBA in Economics. During his free time, Connor enjoys watching his favorite sports teams, fiddling around on the guitar and posting dissenting opinions on Yelp reviews. When I asked him to tell me more about himself, here’s the quip he responded back with (I feel it will give you great insight to his humorous personality that we are so enjoying at the facility) "His other interests include long walks on beach, candlelit dinners and dreaming upon a shooting star. Currently, he is single but is a huge catch with many potential suitors. So if interested better act soon. "

Marcy Renton

Marcy Renton

Trainer

Marcy came to us last year as a client with a previous injury from her other High Intensity workouts that she was participating in at the time. While she herself was a hard sell, because she could not comprehend the thought of not working out everyday and getting results (like many who set foot in our doors), she was a quick believer because the workout didn‘t hurt her and was still intense enough for her liking. Getting to know Marcy has been a pleasure, she is a very wholesome and honest person that shares the same passion of the entire team: That having an impact on a person’s health and physical level of fit works to improve all areas of life.

Marcy has studied public health and wellness education for many years, spanning from Chinese medicine to being yoga certified, and has a life long interest in fitness and nutrition. Marcy has participated in every kind of exercise trend, from step aerobics to cross fit. In the past few years though, after HIIT and boot camp style classes several times per week, she started to have injuries that required a lifestyle change. Marcy found TruFIT20 at just the right time, and really felt this philosophy fit with her next calling.

Outside of work, Marcy is a typical Coloradan - getting out to hike, bike, ski and swim as often as she can. She has completed two 13-mile obstacle course races in Breckenridge, and does yoga to balance it all out. She is also a mom of two amazing children, and has a wonderful husband (who has a wonderful accent), and enjoys introducing her family to as many physical activities as she can in life! She is truly the go getter, I know you will enjoy having her train you!
